His practice and clinical research focus on the surgical management of patients with advanced endometriosis.
He has managed more than 1,200 patients with deep endometriosis infiltrating the digestive tract, 250 with endometriosis of urinary tract and 90 with endometriosis of sacral roots and sciatic nerves.
He privileges conservative procedures in deep endometriosis of the rectum, and performed more than 330 rectal disc excisions.
His approach to ovarian endometriomas is based on the ablation of the inner surface of the cyst using the plasma energy, with the aim of preserving ovarian parenchyma and ovarian reserve.
He performed the ENDORE randomized trial comparing radical and conservative surgery for colorectal endometriosis, and MESURE randomized trial comparing medical to surgical management of rectal endometriosis.
He authored 160 scientific articles in the endometriosis field, which were published in peer-reviewed journals.
He is member of the boards of the European Endometriosis League, World Endometriosis Society and French Society of Gynecologic and Pelvic Surgery.
